FINAL: Florida 9, OU 3 | Gators force winner-take-all game vs. Sooners

The OU softball team's 20-game win streak in the WCWS came to a crashing end Monday against Florida, but the Sooners' season is still alive with a semifinal rematch set for Tuesday.

Keagan Rothrock worked around a little bit of trouble, but the Florida ace finished off a complete-game victory to set up a rematch.

The Gators and Sooners will meet again at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday for a spot in the WCWS finals against either Texas or Stanford.

End 6: Florida 9, OU 3 | Sooners pitch scoreless frame

Kieston Deal retired the first two batters before giving way to Karlie Keeney, who got a strikeout to finish off OU's first scoreless inning of the day.

The Sooners have three outs to make some magic happen.

Mid-6: Florida 9, OU 3 | Gators shut down Sooners' rally

The Sooners got back-to-back singles from Kinzie Hansen and Rylie Boone to start the inning, but Keagan Rothrock retired the next three batters to work out of the jam.

OU only has three outs left to avoid a winner-take-all game against Florida on Tuesday.

End 5: Skylar Wallace homers again

Skylar Wallace hit her second home run of the day, a two-run shot, to give Florida a 9-3 lead.

Wallace hit a solo homer in the second inning as well.

The home runs were the 15th and 16th of the season for Wallace.

The Gators have scored in all five innings.

Mid-5: Tiare Jennings' two-run HR cuts deficit

Tiare Jennings blasted Keagan Rothrock's 2-1 pitch over the wall in right center to trim OU's deficit to 7-3.

It was Jennings' 10th career WCWS home run. The only other player to reach that mark is former OU star Jocelyn Alo, who holds the record with 12.

Ella Parker followed Jennings' bast with a single, and Alyssa Brito drew a walk, but Kasidi Pickering grounded out to end the inning.

End 4: Reagan Walsh stretches Florida's lead

Reagan Walsh blasted a three-run home run off Kierston Deal to extend Florida's lead to 7-1 over the Sooners.

Mid-4: Sooners get on the board

Kinzie Hansen's RBI single put the Sooners on the board, cutting OU's deficit to 4-1.

Ella Parker started the inning with a single, the first hit for the Sooners, and was replaced on the basepaths on a fielder's choice by Kasidi Pickering.

End 3: Florida adds another on Ava Brown's double

OU nearly got out of a jam.

But Ava Brown wasn't having it. Brown drilled a two-out, RBI double to put Florida up 4-0 after three.

The Gators started the inning with back-to-back singles off Nicole May before Patty Gasso brought in Kierston Deal.

Deal got back-to-back pop ups on the infield to get to the brink of getting out of the jam, but Brown hit Deal's 0-1 offering over Rylie Boone's head in left to extend Florida's lead.

Mid-3: Sooners go to warning track twice but go down in order

Florida's Keagan Rothrock retired OU in order in the third, with Jayda Coleman and Tiare Jennings taking Rothrock to the warning track on back-to-back at-bats, but they were tracked down by Gators' outfielders to help Florida keep a 3-0 lead.

End 2: Kendra Falby's inside-the-park HR, Skylar Wallace's blast gives Gators another

Rylie Boone raced in and looked like she might have a chance.

Florida center fielder Kendra Falby —who already has two excellent defensive plays early in the game —slapped a ball to left with one out.

Not only could Boone not catch the ball with her dive, but the ball scooted well past her and Falby was off to the races, rounding the bases in plenty of time for the inside-the-pack home run. The homer was just the second of the season for Falby.

Skylar Wallace followed with a solo shot to left to put Florida up 3-0.

Mid-2: Base running mistake costs Sooners

Rylie Boone smoked the ball to center.

But Florida centerfielder Kendra Falby raced back to the wall and caught it.

With Kasidi Pickering on third, the play still should've been enough to tie the game, but Pickering was about 1/3 of the way toward home and had to race back to third on the play instead of scoring.

Cydney Sanders struck out to end the inning and Florida remains ahead 1-0.

End 1: Florida strikes first

OU starter Nicole May struck out former teammate Jocelyn Erickson for the second out in the first, but it wasn't enough to keep the Gators off the board.

Reagan Walsh followed the strikeout with a bloop single to left, bringing Korbe Otis in to score.

Otis beat out an infield single to short with one out, being called safe on a bang-bang play. Otis then stole second, setting up the run on Walsh's single.

May walked Katie Kistler following Walsh's hit, then got Ariel Kowalewski to ground out to end the inning.

Mid-1: Sooners can't get anything going in the first

Jayda Coleman drew a leadoff walk, and then Tiare Jennings smoked a ball to center, though it was quickly tracked down by Florida center fielder Kendra Falby.

But the Sooners couldn't get anything else going against Gators' pitcher Keagan Rothrock, as Ella Parker and Alyssa Brito were quickly retired.

Pregame update: Nicole May in the circle for Sooners

After starting Kelly Maxwell in the first two games of the WCWS, Patty Gasso will go with Nicole May in the circle against Florida.

May is 14-2 with a 2.29 ERA. The senior threw two scoreless innings in the super regional clincher against Florida State.

Avery Hodge will play second base for the Sooners after coming into Saturday's win over UCLA following Alynah Torres' injury. Torres was hit on the face by a fly ball.

Keagan Rothrock (32-8, 2.48) will start for the Gators.
