What Size Is A Baby Quilt?
When it comes to baby quilt sizes there is no right or wrong. Baby quilts come in a variety of sizes (and even shapes) and you can choose whichever works best for the specific needs of the little one or the design of the quilt top.
Baby quilts are mostly used for cuddling little ones, playing on the floor, or as blankets on the go, so they don’t need to necessarily follow any fixed bed size. This is the reason why the sizes of baby quilts vary the most. So when you are deciding about the baby quilt size, think about the intent of use and your preferences about the design. While there’s no one-size-fits-all approach, a common range for baby quilt sizes is approximately 30-45 inches by 30-45 inches.
If you’re making a quilt for a newborn, you might want to stay on the smaller side.
